The Abacus English Preschool České Budějovice and Písek program is designed to encourage and develop children's natural curiosity and imagination.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We support children's natural curiosity and desire for knowledge. It is important for us that the preschool years are joyful, creative and full of experiences and achievements for children and that together with us they develop a positive attitude towards learning, school and further studies.
During each day, we teach using the "Circle Time" program, which is focused on a specific topic of the given day and week. Children have time and opportunity to play during lessons. During games, they can use their imagination and get to know each other in a way that suits them. Teachers help the children during the games and focus them on practicing the vocabulary according to the teaching topic of the given day and week.

- Every year we organize a school in nature, a ski course, sleepovers in kindergarten, visits to the ZOO, the South Bohemian Museum, the Planetarium, the theater and a number of other trips and activities outside the kindergarten.

OUR CURRICULUM
The curriculum of Abacus English Preschool is compiled according to the British Curriculum in order to focus on the overall development of the child and, above all, the development of:
- personal and social skills
- language and literacy
- arithmetic and logic
- knowledge and understanding
- creativity
The curriculum is organized by topic, allowing children to focus on a given topic over a week or two, developing understanding of the topic and expanding vocabulary related to the topic. Children learn through an interactive curriculum that includes stories, fairy tales, reading, music, painting, singing and exercises.
